COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Introducing Redhook Sunrye, a light, refreshing summer beer brewed with six barley malts, including a touch of organic rye. The opalescent golden color of Sunrye is a result of its unfiltered nature. Light and crisp, this brew was made for slaking summer thirsts.

In the bottle. Pours a rich gold with a white foamy head, but has odd flocculent material suspended throughout. Head subsides, but never disappears. Very faint grassy aroma. Little or no hop nose. Flavor is mildly bitter with a gassy mouthfeel. This is slightly better than a macro, but not all that interesting. Just wish I knew what that odd suspended matter was in the bottle...

Sunrye Ale pours to a beautiful, slightly hazy, pale golden color with a thick white head, and a good bit of carbonation. The nose on this beer is nice with slight spicy rye malt aromas, paired with some citrus hop character. The palate is crisp and lean, with some good pale malt flavors, tart rye character, and an under tone of lemony/estery fruit flavor. Sunrye Ale finishes crisp and tart up front, then ends with a nice citrus hop tang that slightly lingers. This is really an excellent, light, easy drinking beer, perfect for those hot days when only a nice cold one, or two, or three, will do. It would also make a nice beer to match with salads, cold pasta dishes, and would work very well with grilled fish or pork dishes. Sunrye Ale sells for about $5-$6 a six pack depending on which market you are in.

Great summer ale. Pours light golden with particulates floating in it. Aroma is very barley-esque with a touch of hops. Incredibly light. easliy drinkable, very refreshing after a hot day. Taste is a little thin.

i’m in hope that all the particles floating around in this pappy were particles or organic rye. Made it look kinda sick. other then that it was a light colour. The rye taste wasn’t particlulary strong. I wasn’t too impressed with this.

This is a decent beer. Light-bodied, a touch hoppy, but it finishes clean. Good malt representation.

Evervescent pale yellow with a quickly diminishing white head. Aroma of rye and lemon zest, with some bubblegum sweetness. Flavor of wheat and lemongrass with a very slight hops presence.

Poured an effervescent straw ith a semi-creamy white head. Awful aroma of sulfur, bad candy, and a touch of hops thrown in. Taste is exceptionally bland and would literally be on par with seltzer if a touch of dry toffee didn’t have the guts to show itself towards the end. Hi ho, hi ho, it’s down the drain you go.
