COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Introducing Redhook Sunrye, a light, refreshing summer beer brewed with six barley malts, including a touch of organic rye. The opalescent golden color of Sunrye is a result of its unfiltered nature. Light and crisp, this brew was made for slaking summer thirsts.

Light lemon-rye aroma. Off-yellow color, hazy, with tiny bubbles. Grape medicine and wheat flavors, dry, German hops? Tight tingling palate, but a bit thin underneath the carbonation.

A friend recomended this beer and after tasting it, I had to believe he was yanking my chain all along. Poured like a slightly unfiltered lite beer but settled to a non-descript pale yellow with a thin white head and no real lacing. Aroma completely forgettable but with some hops and some lemon. Bland flavor which reminded me of a "better Rolling Rock" - a little tart. Easy to drink due to its very light body but I wouldn’t take advantage of that because more of this beer would not have been a good thing.

GLBF: Lawnmower beer. Refreshingly satisfying. unflitered, light all around. Reminded me of Gumballhead without the fruity hops in there.

On tap at Mellow Mushroom - Foley, AL orange/golden color with little head. Served with a slice of orange. Citrisy aroma and flavor. Smooth mouthfeel, watery, The neat-o sunrye garden hose tap handle says it all. I’ll have to stock it next summer for yard work days.

Fizzy, light, and cloudy; this beer first struck me as being like a light weizen, but as I continued to sample it I came to realize it was more like a malty light lager. Not disappointing, and actually rather good when the situation calls for a beer that is not absolutely bursting with flavor, but probably not something that I will stock my fridge with.

Draft. Another leftover from the Oak Lawn "Fall on the Green" that made its way to our homebrew club picnic. A very well-tuned lawnmower beer for the summer. Has many qualities of an American Wheat, but the rye means less of the weizen aspect while keeping the tangy, slightly citrusy qualities. I sure liked it.
