Bomber from Malt & Vine. Pours amber/copper with an off-white head that’s rather foamy. Aromas of burnt caramel and aged hop. Full bodied with creamy carbonation. Flavor is more citrus/resin than anything, but some good caramel is underneath. This stuff is really hoppy for a barley wine. Killer ale.

Bottle. Poured clear dark copper color with an average frothy off-white head that mostly lasted with good lacing. Moderate to heavy dark fruit, toasted malt and alcohol aroma. Medium to full body with a thick smooth texture and flat carbonation. Moderate to heavy complex toasted malt and fruit sweet flavor with a medium to heavy sweet and alcohol burn finish that was moderate to long lasting. This is a solid complex beer.

Bomber 2009 vintage poured a clear amber with a small lasting amber head. Aromas of toffee, sherry, raisins, dates and a hint of coconut. Palate was medium to full bodied and smooth with a lightly warming finish. Flavors of toffee, sherry, raisin and light earthiness with a smooth lightly warming lingering toffee finish.

hopscotch (8785) - Vero Beach, Florida, USA - SEP 11, 2009
Bottle… Mostly clear, burnt orange ale with thousands of minute yeast particles suspended throughout the body. Small, fizzy, white head. The subtle bouquet offers malty, fruity aromatics of caramel and a mingling of dark fruit, fuzzy fruit and tropical fruit. Full-bodied and chewy with bristly carbonation. Caramely and sweet with understated, earthy, hop bitterness. Finishes mostly sweet with a rumor of acidity.
