Pours a clear reddish-brown-mahogany with minimal head. Bottle was bottled in late October. Definitely a malty smell/taste to it, very easy to drink, some caramel, some nuttiness in it. Not too bad, but nothing crazy. Pretty much what I expected.

Red Hook Winterhook is a super clear, dark amber beer with a soft, waxy, light khaki head that has outstanding retention. There is some lightly sweet malt in the nose, with a hint of medicine and wood resin. Itís medium-light bodied with a slightly gritty finish. It doesnít taste too sweet, but there is plenty of malt and a little medicinal bitterness. Itís very warming. It tastes stronger than it is.

12oz bottle. Clear red color with a brown hue, thin khaki head. Some lace. Interesting, intriguing aroma... Sort of a sweet taste. Like a red twizzler. Sort of fruity hops, like fruit punch. Interesting sweetness, kind of sugary. Despite the more pronounced carbonation, this is drinkable because the taste is so interesting. A winter ale thatís more on the candy side. My mom had a taste, she suggested orange... I can see that

Bomber. Pours a clear copper color with foamy beige head. Mild caramel and citrus aroma with hints of malt and barley. The flavor is along the same lines with more caramel, bready malts and orange citrus in addition to some pine, toffee and brown sugar notes. Mouthfeel is medium-bodied with strong carbonation and a roasty, bitter finish. Overall, it could definitely use stronger malt, dark fruit and alcohol flavors. Decent but not quite up to par with other Winter Warmers from the Pacific Northwest.

Well crafted winter ale. Dark, yet smooth and simple. Not too filling. Nice aroma with a nice blend of hops that give a delicous palate.

Bready, slightly floral nose with a hint of sweaty leather. Toasty malt, bready, fairly dry. A little earthy. Crisply bitter floral and herbal finish. While plenty drinkable, there are much better seasonal six packs at this price point.
