Hoppy aroma with a light. coppyr color. Not a lot of head. A little pine but otherwise an earthy flat taste.

Pours a deep copper body with timid carbonation under a skinny, tan head. A whiff of the aroma and... wow! Those folks up in WA really like to use their PNWs! Piney, to be sure. An additional roasted maltiness is heavy as well. Despite its appearance, the mouthfeel is a bit lively. Diverse flavor bounces from sweet to sour to bitter and back. Finishes with a lemon-pepper note. I suppose I enjoyed this, but it kinda confused me for a "Winter Ale". I guess it would be comprable to SNCA in that regard.

A deep ruby-caramel pour with a middling cream head. Aroma may suffer as a result of a cold but it’s malty...chocolatey with little in the way of hop bouquet. Flavour has that graininess that seems to accompany black patent malt...it’s decent. Some hop in the taste, more than I would have expected given the lack of presence in the aroma. Again, this cold is impacting my rating but I think I’m being fair. I would order more of this, for sure.

Expected more than what I got...but not bad. pale golden color, nice malty flavor. Probably won’t buy again, easy on the spice. I like beer with lots of stuff in one direction or another. Red Hook is all very moderate to light.

Nice light hoppiness accent a chocolate type malty sweetness. I expected a little more form a beer that claims to be an English Strong Ale. It is dominated by hops, but has a very watery mouthfeel to it, and certainly does not have any form of a memorable finish.

This was a pleasant surprise. I didn’t expect much, but this beer has a good bitter hop aroma. Light malt body and refreshing, citrus hops in the flavor. Taste of bailey’s as well, which was strange but somehow worked.

The 12 ounce bottle poured a crystal clear reddish brown beverage with an off-white creamy head that was mostly diminishing and left good lacing on the glass. The aroma was light with some slightly fruity esters. There were also grassy notes along with a slight medicinal backdrop. The body was medium-full with a soft carbonation and light creamy texture. The flavor starts out lightly bitter and stays that way throughout the medium finish. The medicinal nose also manifests itself in the flavor ... yuck.

(bottle)into a snifter. pours a clear dark amber with bubbly frothy head. has a spicy hoppy aroma. the taste is much milder than the smell indicates, fruity aftertaste. the smell is strong, the taste is bland. the palate is flat. ok beer.
