3.3 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 15/20 POD (198) - USA - DEC 28, 2006
Free Bottle. Poured beautiful amber with a nice lingering foam head. Aroma was of a rich spice typicl to winter ales. Flavor was citrus and hops. Neither too overbearing. Aftertaste was clean dry slight malt and hops. I drank this ice cold and it really hit the spot. I would drink this again.

Kind of a soapy aroma, flavor definitely has some funky malts and hops, which makes sense given the style. Taste is okay, just not real good. Don’t see the roasted notes.

3.1 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 10/20 lipscomb216 (80) - USA - DEC 15, 2006
Smells hoppy, piney, citrus, fruity, smells real good. Taste does not keep with the smell, however. Not that it is a bad taste, it just doesn’t come through piney like the smell. Smells hoppy, tastes malty. Very warming taste to it. Overall, nice. Definitely distinguishes itself, however I was hoping for more of that piney taste but I guess thats why I bought SN Celebration.
2.4 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 9/20 JB175 (1665) - Bucks County, Pennsylvania, USA - DEC 9, 2006
UPDATED: DEC 10, 2006 Dark amber color with a sweet sugary aroma. Taste has some spices and excess sugar, plus marshmallows. Unofortunately, this tasted like AB’s Bourbon Cask ale that I tried recently. Not all that good.
3.2 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20 ABUSEDGOAT (1937) - California, USA - DEC 9, 2006
tap: dark amber, actually very good lacing. Aroma is wood, caramel, hint of chocolate, floral hops with light spices. Medium to light bodied, all in all a decent beer.
3.4 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20 kimcgolf (872) - Dacula, Georgia, USA - DEC 3, 2006
Poured from the bottle to a bright amber color, with some carbonation, medium off-white head that lingered a while and left okay lacing. I detected the aroma of floral and citrus hops, though not real strongly, similar to an IPA. However, the taste had more of the spicy wheat flavor of a Hefe-Weizen. Thle palate was somewhat spicy, and the finish a mix between dry-bitter, and stale. It was alomost like Redhook mixed two different styles. This was a very strange beer, although not too bad overall. Hardly your typical seasonal Winter Brew though.
