Bottle: Amber color. Nice tan head that stayed around awhile. Malty aroma with a hint of spice. Nice lingering after taste.

2.7 AROMA 4/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20
bottle - Clear, copper/amber with quickly diminishing head, decent lace. Grainy aroma with fruit, spice and slight hops. Thin to medium bodied, slick feel with flavors of slight roast, nasty fruit flavors, slight spice, metallic hops, light malt that is not bad but this puppy doesnít do it.

3.1 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 11/20
Really want to like this one more. For an English strong ale it seems awfully hoppy, kind of detracts from the drinkability for me. Bitter/citrus peel way overpowers any malty sweetness that may be there.

4.1 AROMA 9/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 9/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
This beer is tasty and delicious, but i wish it was stronger since its supposed to be a "robust winter ale." It does go down nice and smooth though.

3.1 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 8/20
Nice aroma. White lingering head leaves pretty lacing on the glass. A little roasty taste kind of sweet. Clean looking beer.

3.4 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
Bottle. Pours nice clear copper. Off white head that quickly subsides. Citrus and Floral Hops with a base malt, but not quite enough malt or spice for a winter brew. A very easy drinking beer and pleasent for what you can pick up at your local grocery.

2.8 AROMA 4/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20
Average aroma, maybe the draft is better? A bit grassy tasting. I personally think the hops overwhelm the malt but not in a good way like maybe Sierra Nevada Pale Ale. Overall just too much of some spice I canít put my finger on.

Not a fan. Horrible hoppy flavor with notes of citrus. Had to choke the 6 pack down.

Pours a hazy rust-gold with a decent head that persisted. Started promising; the attack was sweet and yeasty. But mid-swallow and into the short finish the beer just ípeters outí and fails to deliver. Not enough bitterness here, and the malt is rather indistinct. I wanted to like this beer but it lacked follow-through.

3 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 9/20
This beer is a dark amber beer with a strong malty aroma. Itís medium bodied, smooth, and easy to drink. This beer has a roasty taste and a quick, dry finish with a slightly strange roasty after-taste. A decent beer, but not for those that arenít already fans of Redhook in general.
