V - Bottled, poured a dark color, lighting brown, strong amber<br /> A - Aroma of malts with a little earthy pine<br /> T - flavor has a bit more sweet notes<br /> P - very drinkable and one of Redhook’s better offerings.

Bottle. Poured a dark amber color with a two finger whitish head. Aroma of caramel malt and raisins. Flavor is caramel malt with earth notes and a toffee note. Medium bodied with mild carbonation.

Pours from the bottle a nice red-copper color with good carbonation and a bit of lacing. Aroma has some caramel malt tones, a centennial hop bite mixed with some whiffs of apple.. Flavor has a great apple fruitiness start followed by a slight hop bitterness and finishes with a great sweet caramel malt flavor. Very little alcohol influence even with the 6% ABV. Good offering by Red Hook and one of the better cheaper beers. The beer was brewed on 12-17-2007 and drank on 9-14-2008 so was aged for a few months prior to drinking.

Pours a clear, very dark amber color with a moderate, off-white, pillowy head which is mostly diminishing and leaves minimla lace. Nose is fair with caramel, raisin, and faint resins. Flavor is somewhat sweet with some toffee, caramel, faint pine, and light earthy tones. Palate is medium, moderate carbonation, and watery. Finishes a tad drying with lots of toffee, mild citrus and some earth. A decent winter beer with no off-putting characteristics but nothing to make it good.

Draught @ Adams St. Pub Biddeford. Terrible bar. Had this at 10 am in a bar full of rednecks competing on a big buck hunter machine. Awesome. The beer was sweet and malty with lots of diactel. body is thin but its the best i’ve had by redhook.
