Labarde (22), Australia May 4, 2008 Poured a dark reddish amber with a nice off-white head. Big aroma of cinnamon and hot cross buns. The flavour is fantastic...brandy and raisins and pudding all hit your mouth and you can really taste Christmas. Medium body with an agreeable finish. A great warming beer to have with a winter dessert.
Chrism86 (40), Melbourne, Australia Aug 2, 2008 Pours red/brown coloured body accompanied by ruby highlights, sporting a medium off white head. Aromas are intense, lifting well above the glass! Cinnamon, sultanas, orange peel and glazed cherries are all in abundance. Palate brings more of the same, but is mainly dominated by some doughy biscuit-like malt and darker chocolate malts. Finish is spicey with estery fruit present. gam (515), brisbane, Australia Jun 15, 2008 Medium head back to lace on a plum coloured pour,purple/brown,good carbonation.Aroma cinnamon, plum, clove, cherry, raisin, rich like perfume.Flavour plum, clove, orangepeel, raisin, cinnamon, nutmeg note.Finish is bitter some gret flavours ,nice drink. nate2g (49), Brisbane, Australia Mar 29, 2008 Bottle. Pours a reddish brown with smallish head. An interesting mix of aromas - nutmeg, berries, chocolate, cloves, spices. The flavour really is like a Christmas pudding, dark fruit, spices, chocolate and a roasted hoppy texture. Medium body with a very pleasant finish. Papsoe (9980), Frederiksberg, Denmark Dec 29, 2007 (Bottle 25 cl) Courtesy of highlandlad. Clear, dark brown with a reddish hue and a small, beige head. Aroma of fruit, roasted malt and woody notes. Quite full-bodied with sweet notes of fruit and hard roasted malt - and then again these accents of wood. Subdued bitterness. Fairly unique and very pleasant. 171207
