COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Framboise Froment is the signature beer of Redoak. We take great care to brew this premium product in Belgian style. The result is a beer characterised by fresh herbaceous flavours of raspberry intertwined with banana and a hint of clove. Fresh raspberries are handpicked exclusively by Blueberry Hills Farm in Victoria’s Yarra Valley Region, and the beer is allowed to condition and mature on the finest of this fruit to infuse their flavours and aroma.

Bottle. Bright pink and clear with a pink tinted head - very distinctive. Lovely fruity (raspberry) aroma. Lively carbonation. Very nice fruit flavour, perhaps a little sour and without the balancing flavours in a true Belgian version. Not an everyday beer (unless you really like this style), but a distinctive and excellent fruit beer.

Thin head, glowing strawberry red. Sour fruits on the bouquet, well defined and very obiovus as to the genre. Sour palate, serious, not fruity, acidic. Shows very good drive and decent length. Very good effort.

Bottle sample thanks to STLWill. Appearance was very light pink, almost like a white zinfandel wine. Aroma was raspberries and some tartness. Very light flavor of tart boozy raspberries and finished dry. I like this one a lot!

Bottle at Craigs. Pours a pink colour with a thin white head. Fruity aroma of strawberry jam. Flavour is a little tart with lemon, strawberry jam again and a little barley. Lovely.

UPDATED: MAR 11, 2013 The aroma is very powerful, with smells of blackberries and raspberries pleasantly filling the nose. Taste is very strong, tasting of mixed berries, particularly blackberries, with an aged taste to them. The taste also has an elusive property, which reminds me a bit of the taste of mineral water. Quite bitter and sour on the tongue. Strong flavour. Very bitey. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

[Bottle] shared by STLWill. Pours a hazy peach with a medium beige head of large bubbles. Aroma is raspberry, rhubarb, fruit sugars, and light tartness. Flavor is light raspberry, lightly tart and acidic, and quite fizzy.

Tasted 12/09/2009. 250ml bottle. Stunning nose of fresh raspberries but, just like the fruit itself, I’m not that enamoured once it is in the mouth. Very dry, tart and sour. Watery. Needs a little sweetness to balance it. Maybe a fuller mouthfeel. Or less carbonation. Tastes better than it reads though, looking back there I feel a bit harsh!

UPDATED: JUL 13, 2005 Bottled. Amber colour, rich head. Fresh, tart raspberry aroma. Light bodied and balsamic with a near lambic like acidity. I really like the way Redoak makes their fruit beer tart, not sweet, and this one is really well made. If I were to complain about something, that’d be the somewhat clean/hard mouthfeel.
