Notes from 4 ounce sample at Pizza Port Belgian Beer Fest in March 2009. Light aroma of fruit and berries. Had the essence of Kool-Aid. Tart taste of cherry and a bit of soy sauce.

3.7 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 15/20
On tap at the Pizza Port Belgian Beer Party. Pours a red amber with a small head. Aroma is fruity and funky. Some wood and some sweetness. Flavor is sweet and tart, cherries and funk. The honey and mead qualies stand out nicely and balance out the funky sourness of the La Folie. Sharp on the palate. Prefer the La Folie stand alone, But this is still pretty good.

Draft @ BSAF 2009. Pours a reddish brown with a small head. Aromas of sour fruit, sweet malt and honey. Flavors are sweet up front with more sour fruit and honey. Decent stuff, nothing to go crazy over.

3.5 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20
Draught No head, purplish cloudy orange-brown liquid. Very fruity, blackcurrant/raspberry; fruit- and other woody acids. Again raspberry/blackcurrant; quite tart (served too cold), but it misses some obvious fruit OR wood. Sharp, tart, I suspect pretty much alcohol. Nice, if it hasnít taken all the good sides from both.
