2.5 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 11/20 Beerlando (3342) - Orlando, Florida, USA - NOV 11, 2009
Courtesy redlight. Pours a clear, light golden color with a small, fizzy, off-white film at the head. Drippy, spotty sheeting shows on the glass. The aroma starts with a very light honey base, followed by floral notes of lavender and heather, with a strangely dry, grassy hoppiness that just seems out of place. It smells earthy, perhaps even a little dirty, which is entirely out of character for a mead. Flavors aren’t really any better, based in watered down, stale honey that clashes with earthy, musty, grassy hops. Medium-light bodied for a mead, with a bit of a fizz that I don’t really care for, the palate perpetuates the letdown. Odd, and not very enjoyable.
2.4 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 10/20 hellbilly (3249) - scottsdale über alles, Arizona, USA - DEC 25, 2009
on tap 11/18/2009 at papago.
pours a slightly yellow shade of clear. no head but it does leave some severe legging.
it smells like flowers... not hops so much, just a straight bouquet. after the initial aroma shock, there are notes of perfume, faint resin, floral hops, mild honey and lots of harsh booze.
if the smell of industrial floor cleaner could be translated into a flavor this would be it... the taste is quite similar to the aroma including honey, harsh and a slight tartness. i’m not sure where this is supposed to go... it is just odd, sticky and confusing. ick. 5/3/4/2/10/2.4

Interesting aroma of stale grassy noble hops, hay, and of course honey. Very pale yellow, clear and still. Dry and light flavor initially, but the flavor of clover and honey , still dry, appears and gathers steam to a climactic finish. Soft carbonation. The intensity never gets there for me although the flavor is nice for a drier mead.
2.6 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 10/20 alexanderj (3052) - Gilbert, Arizona, USA - JUL 13, 2009
On tap at O’Briens a few days back. Bizarre. Aroma of honey, bread and fruit. Not picking up much hopping here. Flavor was a bit more, but the flavor tasted like a strange sweet tart. Really sweet, really fruit, and really strange. Not sure I’d want to drink this one again, but it was an interesting try.
2.8 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 10/20 PilsnerPeter (3019) - Flushing, New York, USA - FEB 2, 2010
Bottle at Rattle n Hum shared by Alex of SKI: I was drinking different beers and rated this from memory. Light golden pour. Sweet and herbal aroma, a bit buttery and biscuity- mild chamomile notes peak through. Light spritzy body. Softly sweet flavor. Honeyish, and herbal but quite buttery, especially on the back. Sub par and macro-ish.
3.2 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20 ben4321 (2982) - Hoboken, New Jersey, USA - APR 30, 2010
Location: Tap at Rattle ’N Hum, 4/17/10
Aroma: The aroma is sweet, with some fruity, some honey, and some resiny hop notes
Appearance: Pours a clear apple juice body with minimal head
Flavor: The taste is pretty sweet as well, with a slight hop presence for some balance
Palate: The carbonation is fizzy, and the body is light and refreshing
Overall Impression:
This stuff was pretty interesting. Certainly a crisp and refreshing drink, though not my favorite style in the world, I do enjoy one of these every now and again.

Surprised at the low scores. I found this really nice and refreshing. The dry hopping gave it a really nice finish and solid flavor.

Pours a yellowish color. Aroma of some hop, light honey as well as grapefruit. Flavor is the same as aroma and kinda nasty. Mouth feel is watery and lightly carbonated. Overall, I’m thinking hop’s do not belong in a mead. Just my opinion.

don’t have much to say about this mead, definitely to be enjoyed for the summer due the light overall flavor and the fizzy carbonation, the taste is sweet and with only a mild amount of hops that is barley noticeable.

Obvious loads of floral honey, and a touch of apples with. Pleasant citrus hit from the hops. No bitterness, but you get a nice shot of citrus from the hops. Quite pleasant, but you cant drink very much at once.
