Unknown Date: Redstone Nectar of the Hops has a very pale golden/straw color. Its appearance reminds me of an American macro light lager. The aroms is moderately sweet with nice honey characteristics and is lightly citrusy. There is a good amount of honey flavor in the front with a light clover spiciness as well as a touch of citrus flavor. This mead has a very light amount of carbonation and a medium-light body that is neither too heavy nor too stick. Overall this is the best Redstone offering that I have had so far...

750 ml flip-top bottle (Alcohol 8% by Volume) shared by nvhall. Thanks Nick! Rating #14 for this mead.

on tap 11/18/2009 at papago. pours a slightly yellow shade of clear. no head but it does leave some severe legging. it smells like flowers... not hops so much, just a straight bouquet. after the initial aroma shock, there are notes of perfume, faint resin, floral hops, mild honey and lots of harsh booze. if the smell of industrial floor cleaner could be translated into a flavor this would be it... the taste is quite similar to the aroma including honey, harsh and a slight tartness. iím not sure where this is supposed to go... it is just odd, sticky and confusing. ick. 5/3/4/2/10/2.4

donít have much to say about this mead, definitely to be enjoyed for the summer due the light overall flavor and the fizzy carbonation, the taste is sweet and with only a mild amount of hops that is barley noticeable.

Bottle at Rattle n Hum shared by Alex of SKI: I was drinking different beers and rated this from memory. Light golden pour. Sweet and herbal aroma, a bit buttery and biscuity- mild chamomile notes peak through. Light spritzy body. Softly sweet flavor. Honeyish, and herbal but quite buttery, especially on the back. Sub par and macro-ish.

Pours a yellowish color. Aroma of some hop, light honey as well as grapefruit. Flavor is the same as aroma and kinda nasty. Mouth feel is watery and lightly carbonated. Overall, Iím thinking hopís do not belong in a mead. Just my opinion.

[Bottle] Pours a clear yellow color with no head and fizzy carbonation. Nose is mostly sweet floral honey notes with some hops mixed in. Light fruits, honey, grassy hops and citrus zest in the taste. There is some amount of a sweet/bitter clash in this mead because of the hops. The one upside is that the bitterness cut down on the honey sweetness a bit. Average mouthfeel with light alcoholic notes coming out as it warms. Itís OK.

sampled @ GABF 07. I really liked this actually. Sweet honey aroma with citrus hops. Pours very light blonde. The flavor is mildly sweet the hops balance out the sweetness nicely and give it a good hop flavor.

Pour from a 500 mL can. Light yellow in color, sparkling in a nice way. Sweet, lots of honey and a nice bit of hops at the end. Not bad, but I donít want to drink a ton of this.
