3 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20
sampled @ GABF 07. I really liked this actually. Sweet honey aroma with citrus hops. Pours very light blonde. The flavor is mildly sweet the hops balance out the sweetness nicely and give it a good hop flavor.

3 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20
Tasting at Savannah Bee at their Broughton St. location in Savannah. The most expensive mead of the group I tasted and the one I liked the least. Pours a clear yellow gold with a fizzy white head. The aroma is sweet honey, citrusy hops, and a bit of apple. The flavor is similar. For me the hops and honey never really mesh together. On the lighter side of medium bodied.

Bottle at Rattle n Hum shared by Alex of SKI: I was drinking different beers and rated this from memory. Light golden pour. Sweet and herbal aroma, a bit buttery and biscuity- mild chamomile notes peak through. Light spritzy body. Softly sweet flavor. Honeyish, and herbal but quite buttery, especially on the back. Sub par and macro-ish.

10/26/10. Clear golden pee colored. Sweet, herbal aroma with hints of honey and citrus and distinct medicinal qualities... reminds me of a weird sweet light beer. Sweet honey flavor that lingers herbally with cat pee and... and basil? This is an odd cat.

2.7 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20
Draught at 6th Boulder Strong Ale Festival. Pours clear light yellow with a spare, fizzy, white head, diminishing with no lacing. Aroma is average malt (hay, straw), average hops (flowers, grass), light yeast (sweat) with notes of honey and green olives. Medium bodied, gritty texture, average carbonation, and an astringent finish. Average duration, moderate sweetness, acidity, and bitterness.

2.6 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 10/20
On tap at O’Briens a few days back. Bizarre. Aroma of honey, bread and fruit. Not picking up much hopping here. Flavor was a bit more, but the flavor tasted like a strange sweet tart. Really sweet, really fruit, and really strange. Not sure I’d want to drink this one again, but it was an interesting try.

Boulder Strong Fest. Draught. Very light yellow...I saw someone else drinking it and I thought they were drinking water. Aroma is light resin, lemon, and obviously honey. Flavor is sweet and acidic. Watery and weird

2.6 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 11/20
Tap at Rattle N Hum. Very clear, transparent pale straw pour. The nose is loaded with honeyish sweetness. The hop aroma is barely there - just a simple sweet clover honey mead with a little bit of light mintiness. Simple, but pretty good.

2.5 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 11/20
Courtesy redlight. Pours a clear, light golden color with a small, fizzy, off-white film at the head. Drippy, spotty sheeting shows on the glass. The aroma starts with a very light honey base, followed by floral notes of lavender and heather, with a strangely dry, grassy hoppiness that just seems out of place. It smells earthy, perhaps even a little dirty, which is entirely out of character for a mead. Flavors aren’t really any better, based in watered down, stale honey that clashes with earthy, musty, grassy hops. Medium-light bodied for a mead, with a bit of a fizz that I don’t really care for, the palate perpetuates the letdown. Odd, and not very enjoyable.
