2.7 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 10/20
The aroma has the requisite honey along with flowers, yeast, and alcohol. The appearance is yellow and slightly cloudy. The flavor is proper for a mead with the sweet honey dominating but without being cloying. The other elements are present as well as some wood and fruit. The palate is thin but right for the style. Overall it’s very refreshing with a dryer finish than expected.

3.4 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20
Sampled from bottle. Poured a golden straw color. Aroma is a bit boozy, honey, touch of apple tartness. Flavor is slightly sweet, with a touch of what I suppose was a bit woody.

3.4 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 12/20
Definite honey aroma wafts from my glass, bits of vanilla and raisin mixed in. A pale gold color that is quite clear. Lightly sweet with a medium body. The alcohol is very well hidden. This is a good straight forward mead, really showcases the honey that they used quite well. Fairly simplistic, but that is what straight meads are about.

2.8 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 1/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 14/20
Had this at the 2011 mid summer morning mead tasting at Vintage, nice place, y’know? Very clear. Like cider. Barely any yellow at all. Faint aroma of flowers. First taste says it is very low in alky, even watered down but I see the alky is high and it must hide it well. Easy going and mild on the tongue, even enjoyable. Goes down easy for a mead. Some plastic band-aid in the finsh, just barely.

3.3 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20
Bottle at Fort Wayne Tasting. Flip top bottle with a production date of Dec. 22, 2004. No head, no lacing, no carbonation, transparent, and a pale yellow hue. Nose was honey, vinuous, sweet, and oranges. Flavor was dry, sweet, vinuous, honey, and oranges. Mouthfeel was slightly tingly and dry. Light body. Have had much better meads than this one.

3.2 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 13/20
Production date on bottle: February 6, 2003. This is only the second mead I’ve had, the other one being Apis Jadwiga--obviously not your "everyday" mead--and so I was unprepared for how hugely "honey" the aroma was. Intriguing but still a simple honey aroma, with something plastic-like, like the experience of opening a Star Wars action figure when I was a little boy. Very light yellow color. Thin palate, not at all syrupy or thick (again an unfair comparison to Jadwiga).

Bottle pour at Blind Tiger NYC. Pours a pale amber. Nose is quite fruity and vinous. Still. Light honey note as well. Very balanced on the taste with honey, apricot, pear coming through. A light alcohol note as well. Sweet and acidic. Very nice.

3.5 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 15/20
Honey. Clear. Mead as mead is. How many descriptives are there for a mead? It has honey; it was made with yeast.
