Cask at the Bootlegger, High Wycombe, 10/02/16. Golden amber with a decent off white covering. Nose carries a light floral presence, caramel, peach, orange, light bread. Taste comprises bitter orange, caramel malt, straw, earthy hops, peach. Medium bodied, fine carbonation, semi drying close. Decent enough sessioner ... not sure I’d class as a bitter in this day and age. Some tropical fruit and floral hop presence.

Reward for walking the dog on 6th Jan 2016. 500ml bottle into a UK pint sleeve at home. Only my 3rd beer from these guys, that surprises me: 848th Bitter rate, that doesn’t surprise me. 38th rate from Cheshire, thought I have drank more than that to be honest. Anyway, to the beer: Light amber body, almost clear, just a slight misty presence within. Deep and lasting cream coloured head, an uneven blanket of foam. Hop centric from the start, aroma and taste tell you in no uncertain terms this is a hop first brew. The malts take a poor second place in the nose and flavour and sit just below the surface preventing the hops getting too cocky and bitter. Decent and well worth taking the dog out for.

Sampled from a 50cl bottle purchased in Cheshire (thanks, Rachel!). Hazy reddish amber with a white head. Some slight aroma of malt. The taste is of mild malts and earthy, slightly citrusy hops. A little watery. Not bad, but a little bland. Quite drinkable.

On cask at the beer festival at the Riser inBerko. The beer is a clear chestnut with a loose tan head. The smell is citrus toasted malt and mild caramel. The taste is in line with aroma but ending dry with some bitterness. Body is light with mild carbonation. A good brew.

From trade with Douberd, many thanks! 50cl bottle. Pours clear golden colour with a huge good lasting light beige head. Aroma of grain, hay, pale malt, mild hops and citrus. Taste is mild hoppy, citrus, grain, some bitter hops, very drinkable.
