Cask @ Madness festival. Loads of grapefruit, spruce, pine in the aroma. It is quite a hoppy ale, quite fruity.

3.8 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 5/5 OVERALL 16/20
Bottle from Drinkmonger. A golden bitter with a decent white head. Aroma of pine, caramel and alcohol. Similar flavours with a great bitter grapefruit linger. Moderate carbonation and a foamy mouth-feel. Lovely.

3.7 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 14/20
Cask at PSBH, Manchester. Light copper shade with a marvellous white head and lacing. Pleasant grassy and floral aroma leading into a soft, buttery, creamy and fruity experience on the tongue. Not massively exciting but very classy and understated.

3.6 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
Bottle, poured a copper-brown with a fine white head and noticeable notes of pineapple and honey on the nose. Dry-bitter and malt body, well balanced with more fruit notes - pineapple, citrus, a little peach, a touch of pine. Long bitter-dry finish is faintly woody.

3.9 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 17/20
Bottle at home. Hazy orangey amber, thin white head. Light, fresh nose - apricot, tropical fruit, citrus. Juicy fresh hop flavours over a rich malty body, orange pith, light lemon. Feels bigger than the ABV. Dry juicy linger. Lovely.

Light haze on this amber beer. Tidy white head. Light dry palate. Mild mellow citrus hops. Fairly dry finish, vaguely woody. Okay but a bit dry and mellow.

2.9 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 11/20
Pours lovely orange with a light white head. Aroma is candied fruits, a little yeasty perhaps, definitely malty - a healthy dose of pick and mix finishes it off. The flavour isnít quite as exciting as the aroma suggests however; itís initially bitter with a touch of sweet malt, then becomes extraordinarily clean before finishing off with a bit of nutty rye/crystal malt flavour and a long bitter finish. Refreshing and clean - itís a decent enough pale ale, itís just not quite right.

3.4 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20
Cask at Cask Pub and Kitchen, Pimlico, London. An amber coloured pour with a small white head on top. Hoppy, citrus fruit aroma. Tastes hoppy, malty, tropical fruit, citrus fruit. Quite different to any other beer that I have tried. Interesting stuff.
