Our winter season pale ale, hopped with Australian Galaxy to give citrus and passion fruit flavours and a clean crisp finish. Yet another lovely hoppy pale ale.

Cask in Kings Head, Clapham. Hazy yellow amber, white head. Nose is fruity citrous grapefruit, orange, grassy, straw, herby (thyme?), litte honey. Taste is citrousy lemon and grapefruit, grassy, herby, bit menthol or pine. Quite fruity and floral. Lots of flavour.

Cask conditioned handpump Friends Of Ham Leeds 28/11/12. A golden coloured beer with a golden head. A spritzy zesty noce. Sharp citrussy hopping in the mouth but it comes over as overharsh. Also seems a bit thin. Disappointing for Redwillow sadly.

Cask conditioned at The Victoria, Birmingham. Hazy gold with white head. Lots of refreshing bitterness with a distinct grapefruit note. Lasting on the palate with an additional mango sweetness, grassy and really very good.

Cask at the Craft. Light haze on this pale gold beer. Little white head. Smooth palate, dry and a little silky. Mild citrus fruits. Smooth orange with a whisper of tropical fruits. Quite a dry finish but smooth as well.

Cask at CBC, London. Pours pale yellow with a fine, white foam head. Ripe citrus nose. Medium sweet flavor with some lemon, fructose, mango, moderate straw bitterness and lemon rind. Light in body with fine carbonation. Sticky sweet finish with some doughy, biscuity malts, lots of juicy citrus, some mild grass and straw. Sweet but highly drinkable.

[cask at the Caley Sample Room, Edinburgh] Opaque golden orange beer – the cask must have been knocked as other people later had clearer versions. That said, it didn’t detract from the flavour. Citrus and sweet honey blend to give a barley sugar flavour. Some caramel. Nice quick finish [13062012]

On cask at The Caley Sample Rooms for The Redwillow Night. Pours a dark golden colour with a decent white head. Aroma of caramel, pine and grass. Similar flavours and fairly bitter with moderate carbonation and an oily mouth-feel.
