February 2012: This is a big black IPA, hopped with Chinook, Columbus, Galaxy and Centennial; big fruity flavours before a long bitter conclusion with subtle roasted coffee notes.

On tap in The Macc, Macclesfield. Black body with a thick creamy tan head. Aroma of juicy hops, milk chocolate, vanilla. Flavour has more fruity hops, some fairly light chocolate, smooth creamy finish. Nice. Love a black IPA, fan of Redwillow, d not disappoint.

Bottled. Cloudy black. Nose of coffee, citrus, licorice. Nice nose, though probably a bit old. Sweet, a bit heavy, licorice, chocolate, orange. Nice, prickly, peppery finish. A bit too thick and perfumey, but good.

Opaque black - brown beer. Short pale tan head. Smooth palate with mild fine carbonation. Smooth dark malts, very smooth! No roast or bitterness and carrying mild lactose cream. Fairly bitter pine hops. Finishes semi dry with more hop bitterness and a little minty coolness.

Hazy golden red-amber colour. Beige head. Hoppy fruity and dark malty (roasty) aroma. Good mouthfeel. Roasty malty and fruity piney hoppy flavour, some coffee and chocolate too. Pleasnt.

Bottle @ Papsø. Pours a dark amber brown color with a longlasting off-white head. Has a fruity malty hoppy caramel aroma. Fruity malty hoppy bitter piney licorice flavor. has a fruity malty hoppy bitter licorice finish.

Bottled. A deep red beer with a huge brown head. The aroma has notes of chocolate and roasted malt. The flavor is sweet with notes of chocolate, roasted malt, and hops, leading to a dry bitter finish.

Bottle 33 cl. Courtesy of madmitch76. Pours an almost clear nutty brown with a dense and creamy beige head leaving some lacework. Sweet, spicy hoppy aroma with a little roast. Medium body, excessive carbonation, hard and almost astringent roast, some licorice with a very bitter finish. 301112
