COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Cask, Occasional;
Born from a conversation between a chocolatier, Lee from Pure Origin Chocolate and ourselves we embarked on creating a chocolate stout. After much enjoyable sampling we decided on a bold and complex 85% cacoa single origin Colombian chocolate which provides a lovely dry balanced bitterness and a long espresso finish, we think it works rather well.

Almost opaque brown beer, no real head. Palate is smooth and a little dry. Low carbonation. Insipid tangy malts. Touch of chocolate and coffee. Neutral finish. Inoffensive but frankly a bit dull.

Cask Conditioned air pressure Euston Tap London. A black beer with a little tan coloured head. This is coffee dominated as supposed to chocolate, both in the aroma and mouth. Bitter roast and chocolate makes a sneaky appearance late on. It has good length and is tasty but there is a misnomer thing going on.

Cask at the Sussex Arms, Twickenham Green - 16/11/12. Very dark mahogony brown with a thin tan head that clears to the edge and forms a small pond. Nose is roast malts, molasses, liqourice, touch of chocolate and a little smoke. Tastes of roast malt, big dose of liqourice, leather and chocolate. Medium bodied, quite thick and oily in body, dryish in the finish. Ok stout.
