Keg from StockMKT pop-up thingy which rocked in Kingston marketplace. Pretty smooth, some caramel malt, hop lingering nicely in the finish. Nice enough beer, went well with my pulled pork bun.

3.4 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 14/20
Cask Hops Bar, Crewe. Sweet fruity berry aroma, pale amber colour. Orangey hoppiness kicks in after a few sips and this gives a dry finish that is long and tasty. This definitely improves after average first impressions and is a cracking full flavoured IPA

2.8 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 11/20
50cl Bottle from De Bierkoning. Says IPA on the bottle, but it’s more a golden ale to me. Hazy golden yellow colour, white head. Aroma of pale malts, flowers, pineapple, overripe fruits. Flavour is dry, malty, floral, fruity, malty bitter finish with a hint of citrus. Light-bodied, bordering on fizzy carbonation. Not great.

Draught at Omerta, Cracow. Rather bland and tasteless beer. Medium body, medium bitterness, here some malt, there some notes of apples. Disappointing.

3.2 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20
Aroma: Fresh lemony and floral hops with a subtle biscuit undertone.
Appearance: Clear golden colour with a thick white head.
Taste: Honey and Lemon sweetness followed by a clean bitterness
Palate: Medium bodied with a slight oiliness. Strong carbonation and a spicy but not lasting finish.
Overall: Very pleasant example of a British IPA.
