Tap at BD ShepBush. Slightly hazy burnished gold, head recedes to ring and patches. Nose of rich orangey marmalade citrus, floral, touch of caramel. Tastes moderate sweet light toffee malt, fairly bitter, bitter orange and floral hop character, some resin. Medium body, oily, long delicious bitter finish, still lots of orange. This does just one thing really, but it does it well.

September 4, 2014 - on handpull at Craft Beer Co (Clerkenwell). Clear brassy gold with a decent and lasting off-white foamy head. "C" hop bitterness and grassy sidenotes on the nose, some acidic UK bitterness and a fair bit of pineapple fruitiness (I think "marmelade in a glass" is overstating it though). Taste is more grassy than resin/citrus, nice acidity tho ("it’s almost as if the brewer was resisting the American hop onslaught with traditional bittering while MAKING a US-style beer"). Average-to-light body, astringent, good and airy for cask, medium-length bitter finish, with emerging Goldings or some other UK-style hoppiness beginning to win out. Decent.
