COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Cask & Bottled; Regular.

A surprisingly approachable smoked porter, velvet smooth with a robust malt backbone. This is infused with Chipotles to give even more smokiness and a subtle hint of heat, a real winter warmer.

Bottle from Microbrewery Outlet. Pours dark brown, almost black with a tight creamy head - almost carbonated with the natural fizz from being bottle conditioned. Aroma - Dark Chocolate with a light Coffee note. Slight hint of Chilli. Flavour - Lightly smoked, subtle chilli on the finish. Palate - Light, almost ’thin’ in the mouth. Quite an enjoyable drink, but I doubt if i could manage more than a pint before it became a little dull.

Its like a summer BBQ liquefied, the intense black beer is framed by a chocolate heat and every mouthful radiates heat down your throat. A strong smokiness is balanced by the chocolate and roasted malts to give it its well behaved aroma. The flavour is perfect for the winter, a wholesome caramel and nut taste fills the palate with smoked chocolate and malt coming through at the finish. A great creation from the team in Macclesfield.
