Bottle from Microbrewery Outlet.
Pours dark brown, almost black with a tight creamy head - almost carbonated with the natural fizz from being bottle conditioned.
Aroma - Dark Chocolate with a light Coffee note. Slight hint of Chilli.
Flavour - Lightly smoked, subtle chilli on the finish.
Palate - Light, almost ’thin’ in the mouth.
Quite an enjoyable drink, but I doubt if i could manage more than a pint before it became a little dull.

Its like a summer BBQ liquefied, the intense black beer is framed by a chocolate heat and every mouthful radiates heat down your throat. A strong smokiness is balanced by the chocolate and roasted malts to give it its well behaved aroma. The flavour is perfect for the winter, a wholesome caramel and nut taste fills the palate with smoked chocolate and malt coming through at the finish. A great creation from the team in Macclesfield.

Draft Beerdock Crewe. Big nutty rich roast aroma, smooth and immensely well flavoured on the tongue, with red fruit, tobacco and leather in abundance. Cracking stuff.
