Bottled. A dark red-brown beer with a thin tan head. The aroma has notes of chocolate, over ripe fruits, malt, and candy sugar. The flavor is sweet with notes of chocolate, malt, spices, fruits, and candy sugar, leading to a dry lightly roasted finish. Thanks pinball for sharing.

12 fl oz bottle. Pours hazy brown to black with a small tan head. Aroma is roasted malty, phenolic and light yeasty herbal. Bitter, phenolic and dark roasted malty. Bitter and dry herbal into a dry finish.

Bottle 35,5 cl. Courtesy of Pinball. Pours a very dark brown with a vague whiff of orange and a creamy beige head leaving some lacework. Sweet roasty nose with quite some evident Belgian yeast up there. Medium body, soft carbonation, again sweet roast, minerally and yeasty with a little late licorice. Pretty ok - in spite of the Belgian yeast. 150512

A big 22 oz pour at Cafe Marina in Eureka, CA. Came a dark brown with a big tan head and sticky lacing. Nose is roasted malts with some aromas of chocolate, coffee, nuts, and ripe fruit. The body is medium and the mouthfeel clean and smooth. The flavor is rich with fruit dominating, with some raisins, chocolate and flowers. Finishes lightly bitter. Great.
