On tap (isnít available in bottles), pours amber with nice soapy suds, smells of fir trees, and sweetness. Tastes like pine cones, chronic, and beautiful bitterness. Great hop presence and all around body.

3.7 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 13/20
Sampled at an ESBLS tasting. It poured an amber color with a white head. The aroma was of grapefruit and pine. The taste was of citrus, pine and some tropical fruits. The finish was a little dry and bitter and very well done.

3.7 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 17/20
Sampled at ESBLS. Half growler from Hayduke. Some leaked during transit. Some haze in the golden orange beer. No foam. Citrus and tropical fruit aromas. The flavor begins with citrus but it is not bitter. Carbonation might have suffered. That bitterness quickly grows and becomes big. A lot of fruit is tasted. Malts are pale and no caramel is noted. The hops become more floral. I like it.

4.2 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 9/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 17/20
Wonderful local IPA in the heart of IPA heaven. Managed to stand out in well-crafted but saturated market. Starts crisp and sweet without being too syrup-y. Quenches but leaves you happy and wanting more.

4.3 AROMA 9/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 9/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 17/20
This is available in quite a number of locations in Humboldt County, and is developing quite a following. I get it often at Brick and Fire Bistro, just a few hundred feet from the back gate of my property. This color in the glass is a very clear orange- amber, raises a good white head and leaves light lacing rings. The nose is intense, full of grapefruit and pine. The body is medium and the mouthfeel very clean and satisfying. The flavor is aggressive, with lots of the citrus and pine, but there is tropical fruit there as well. The finish is dry and bitter, but it is also flavorful right down to the last drop. There are a lot of good IPAís brewed here locally, but this one tops them all with its rich flavors and exceptional balance.
