Cask conditioned - handpump - Malt Shovel Northampton. A hazy blonde coloured cask conditioned lager. The aroma is sweet with peach notes, but also a bit of smokiness is present. The taste is also on the sweet side and is a bit perfumed. That smokiness appears again though. An interesting beer. I’m really not sure how we should categorise these British cask conditioned lagers but I’ve gone for Premium Lager.
