My beer is just called "Ævle Øl". Light yellow colour with a decent white head. Aroma is faint but with clear hints of apples. The flavour is very acidic and refreshing with a nice fruitiness (apples of course). The finish is lightly dry and bitter. Despite the fairly low rating, I think this beer would be great on a warm summer day. P.S. My beer doesn’t fit the other ratings. I wonder if the beer has changed?

Bottled at RBESG. Golden colour. Sweet and fruity, champagnelike and perfumy. The mouthfeel is clean and sparkling, and it has light-medium body with notes of caramel. Some lactic acidity finishes it off. Refsvindinge’s beers are always unpredictable.

2.3 AROMA 4/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 10/20
(Bottle 33 cl) Fully golden with a rather nice, creamy head. For once decently carbonized. Lightly acidic, chemical apple aroma. Distinctly acidic apple character on a malty background. Weak notes of smoke. Very unusual, but really just another dubious invention from Refsvindinge. 110705

2.4 AROMA 4/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 9/20
Golden color with a white head. The taste is sweet with a thin very light apple note. Rather boring really.

3.3 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20
Bottle. Huge head for a Refsvindinge. Looks pretty. Snowwhite head on top of a golden, clear beer. And in this case, golden actually means that it looks like gold. Smells just like apples. Very inviting. Unfortunately the flavor doesn’t match up to the expectations. It lacks some sweetness as well as bitterness. Tastes hollow.

2 AROMA 4/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 7/20
[At Københavnske Øldage 2005] A hazy orange beer with a small collapsing white head. The aroma is dry malty with slight hints of hops. The flavor is sweet with slight notes of apples, leading to a dry end, but the body is thin. A boring experiment.

1.5 AROMA 3/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 3/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 5/20
Sampled from draught at Københavnske Øldage 2005.
Clear golden body, small white head. Weak almost non-existing malt and fruit aroma. Pilsner malt and apple juice flavor with some grainy notes. Uninteresting and very weak.

2.6 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 10/20
Draught @ KØ 2005: Golden coloured. Clear. White head. Light fruity, sweet and malty aroma. Very vague. Flavour is thin. Applejuice, malt and a light hoppy touch. Is thin bodied and ends on a somewhat watery note. LIght bitterness present.
