En mild stout. Den har en fin smag af let brændt malt, og god sødme. Man kan ikke smage at den er oppe på over 6 %.

Nice deep black color with a slightly reddish tinge. Foam is white and rich, but not as impressive and consistent as you have seen in other stouts. Delicate aroma with lots of hard roasted malt and a wonderful rich flavor. Its main features are hard roasted malt which leaves a bit of sweetness. Slightly English licorice is in the background and rounds along with a comfortable hop bitterness. It has good long aftertaste and is definitely a nice stout.

33cl bottle, local Ebeltoft delicatessen. Quite the thin and stale filter coffee experience in both colour, taste, aroma and mouthfeel, this diluted extract stout tastes as if a dark malt cube, Maggi style, had been dropped into a cardboard pale lager: mainly dull caramels, flat superficial roast and industrial cocoa make for very insipid sipping. Some Belgian foreign stouts in this category are hardly better, but are at least nearly extinct or balance out lack of sparkling flavours with higher abv levels - this is mainly brackish malt broth. I doubt either mor or bedstemor would approve.

Very deep brown body with a small, beige head. Ok lacing. Sweet aroma of malt extract, sweet caramel and dark dried fruits. Moderate flavour of malt extract, and not much else. Moderate sweet taste with light to moderate bitterness in the finish. Light-bodied and watery with a soft carbonation. Forgettable.
[33 cl bottle shared with josteirk at Steenbo the Summer House, enjoyed 8 months after bottling]

33cl bottle from Vinoble Frederikshavn. Pours dark mahogany with a beige head. Malty and bready aroma with some roasty notes, caramel and hints of chocolate and licorice. Medium sweet with fairly mild flavours and a light bitterness. Not terribly exiting, but quite drinkable.
