Bottle. 7.4%. Best before 12.10.13. Pours black with a dark tan head. Decent lacing. Aroma is remotely tart with a roasted/barbecue/smoked blend and a hint of vanilla. Flavour is roasted and a bit tart. Sweetish and fruity notes as it warms. Roasted, smoked and a bit tart finish; somewhat ashtray-like. Overall has its ups and downs; aroma is pretty good, but the flavour and finish are so-so; unbalanced at best; the smoked note feels like liquid smoke and the tart note feels misplaced. 01.10.13.

tfredvik (942) - Oslo, NORWAY - OCT 1, 2013
Black body with a small, medium brown, short-lived head that leaves some lacing. Strong and sweet aroma that is really heavy malty, with burnt notes, ash, chewing-tobacco, peat, wood smoke and wet burnt wood. Unusual but inviting! The flavours also have notes of dark berries, but the burnt notes, chewing-tobacco and ash are the dominant parts. The mouthfeel is full and oily with a very soft carbonation. Despite a light dryness in the finish the taste is moderate sweet, with an accompanying moderate to light bitterness. A nice one.

Bottle from Voldby Koebmandsgaard. Black, with a tan head which is slowly decreasing. Smoky aroma with notes of chocolate. Sweet smoky taste of malt, chocolate, notes of caramel and licorice. Smooth mouthfeel. Bittersweet finish. Maybe a bit too smoky for a porter to be, but drinkable.

0,33 l bottle bought @Sidinge Gårdsbutik, Vig Sjælland. A finger of creamy tanned head, over a dark brown to black body. Mild but distinct aroma of dark, well roasted, slightly ashy dark malts. Good body. Smooth and juicy mouthfeel. Quite sweet in flavor, nicely balanced by a tarry and smoky malt flavor. Licorice tones. Lacks some bittering hops, but a prominent malt bitterness works well. A powerfull and tasty porter. But too sweet to be outstanding. [Sjællands Odde, 16.07.13]

PapaVillum (300) - Valby, DENMARK - JUL 9, 2013
33 cl flaske, 7,4 %, 9. juli 2013. Helsort øl med ca. 1 cm moccabeige-farvet skum. Minimeres efter et minut. Aroma med røg og lakrids. Ingen kaffe. Let surhed og masser af brændt smag. Afsluttes med bitterhed. Ingen sødme. Ikke specielt charmerende, men har måske sin særlige fanskare af røgøl-fans. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

BeerViking (2085) - Brentford, Greater London, ENGLAND - JUN 11, 2013
33cl bottle bought in Copenhagen, pours black with a thinning tan head, black treacle, chocolate, grilled crispy bacon and a hint of roast coffee on the nose. Almost milky and syrupy at first on the tongue, then a liquorice and cocoa burst comes through, along with a little piney hop and some burnt caramel bitterness. Coffee, dry cocoa and more burnt-bitterness in the finish. Lovely.

33cl bottle from La Bonita Pinto in Barcelona. Pours a black body with a thin, creamy, brown head that dissipates slowly and leaves a light lacing. Aroma is sweeter caramels with some chocolate, light roasts, dark fruits, and some meaty smoke. Flavor is similar. More balanced with the caramels and chocolates. Still on the sweeter side, but a nice roast and somewhat meaty smoke keeps the sweetness in check. A few dark fruit notes as well as a light licorice spice before this finishes fairly dry and a bit sweet, but with a light roasty bitterness. Lengthy aftertaste following a medium-light body and a light carbonation. Overall, a decent porter. A bit on the sweet side and a touch thin feeling at times, but well balanced and enjoyable enough. Not bad.

Bottle. Pours black with a quickly diminishing brown head. Aroma is licorice, roasted malt, toffee, meaty smoke, tobacco and light butter. Taste is moderate sweet and light+ bitter. Body is medium, texture is oily and slick, carbonation is soft. Finishes light sweet with licorice and smoke.

330ml bottle, trade with Skinnyviking. Pitch black body. Tan-coloured head reduced to nothing at all. Aroma is peaty with hints of tobacco. Smoked malty flavour supported by chocolate malts as well as bittering liquorice towards the ending, semi-dry. Medium bodied. Pleasant (hotel room, Copenhagen 23.03.2013).
