Bottle at home (gift from Meilby, thanks!). Poured a clear dark brown with a slight head. Aromas of licorice, malts and roast (coffee). Tastes medium sweet. Bubbly and airy palate, with a dry end feeling. (Wrong licorice for me, otherwise it’d be overall better)

Favoritjuleøl 2014. Value for Money.

Normalt tyngde. Ikke imponerende, men heller ikke afskrækkende.

Bottle. A clear, reddish dark brown beer with a finger-thick beige head. Butterscotch, some dark dried fruits and a hint of licorice in the aroma. The flavor too is riddled with butterscotch, and there’s also dried fruits, hints of licorice and a faint bitterness. Medium body and a nice carbonation level. Some bitterness in the mostly malty finish. Overall, way too much butterscotch, making it a pretty uninteresting beer. 130508
