Bottle, 50cl. Pours dark black with a thin, quick disappearing beige-head. Heavy, roasted malt aroma, coffee, chocolate brown sugar and caramel. Flavor is mildly sweet, roasted, brown sugar and light bitter. Found it a bit too thin bodied for my preferences. Bit watery mouth-feel. Soft carbonation, and easy drinkable.

Bottle. Pours almost black with a tan head. Roasted aroma. Taste is of roasted malt, chocolate and sugar. Carbonation is just right. It’s a bit sweet but not too much. Slightly bitter finish. Medium body. Above average.

Close to black body with a light-brown head that’s a bit small and short-lived. The aroma is strong, roasted and sweet, with dark chocolate and coffee. In the back there are some too sweet over-ripe fruit-like notes, or is it a touch of butter? The taste is also quite sweet with some bitterness in the finish. The rather strong flavours follow the aromas, but now I think the overly sweet part is mostly due to toffee notes. Finally I get some sweet liquorice. The texture is rather dry, despite the relative high sweetness. Or maybe I’m just a bit confused by the chalky, yeasty metallicity that lurks in the background? Medium body, soft carbonation. Ok-ish.

UPDATED: AUG 11, 2013 I have tasted this beer from a bottle and from a can. The bottle is preferred, because of the after fermentation. It gives the beer a better head, than if it came from a can. This stout have a very dark color and a rich taste of coffee.

Flaska.

BeerViking (2290) - Brentford, Greater London, ENGLAND - MAY 13, 2013
Bottle bought in Copenhagen (in Høkeren, I think!). Black with a thin clingy beige head, chocolate and faint notes of Marmite and treacle on the nose, initially sweet on the tongue with a little milk chocolate, then drying with a touch of winey malt and some liquorice coming through. Quite thin bodied for a stout. Dry cocoa, roast malt and a little hop bitterness in the finish.
