1.3 AROMA 2/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 3/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 4/20
Sampled AIBA 2004. Aroma and taste had a kind of stale slight malt. No real bitterness or aftertaste. I hope this didn’t win an award.

1.9 AROMA 4/10 APPEARANCE 1/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 8/20
This stuff has a clear very pale yellow body topped by a thin head with little lacing. The aroma is bitter, grassy and hoppy with a slightly sweet maltiness in the background. The flavor is slightly sweet yet bitter and malty with grassy hop notes. Light bodied, tingly from the carbonation and smooth.

2.5 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 11/20
Clear with a tint of yellow. Smells much like rainwater and tastes like water with a lot of iron and crap that makes water taste bad, however, it was not skunky and therefore was kinda smooth, so it saves face on that.

1.9 AROMA 4/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 7/20
Straw colored. I would say with most warm weather lagers (red stripe, cristal, etc) that they taste best where they are brewed. So drinking a brew from El Salvador in snowy Breckenridge wasn't the most satisfying experience.

0.9 AROMA 1/10 APPEARANCE 1/5 TASTE 2/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 3/20
Head is initially small, fizzy, white, fully diminishing. Body is clear
light yellow. Aroma is lightly malty (cereal, grain), with a strong note
of DMS, some solvent. Flavor is moderately sweet, lightly bitter. Finish
is lightly sweet, lightly bitter, unclean. Light to medium body, watery
texture, fizzy carbonation. The nasty industrial aroma is about the best
thing it has going for it.

UPDATED: APR 19, 2004 (32oz bottle) Big bottle for a big occasion - I am now a common-law uncle! Wow, the sense of commitment now strikes me. Pours a huge, frothy, white head and a clear gold body. Nose of grassy pastures, stagnant insoles. Easy drink'n. Slightly hoppy flavour. Watery to the finish. Enough to keep to straight on the road. Responsibility!
