1.2 AROMA 2/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 2/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 4/20
Bottle at Brickseller, Washington DC (offered by some random drunk customer, who claimed it was the best, of course)
Pale blond color. Grassy aroma of poor Lager. Sweetish taste, no bitterness. Very poor.

2.6 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 9/20
One of the largest single-user bottles of beer I have ever seen in my life, at El Paraiso in DC. Very pale yellow, medium white head. Aroma of white pepper. Taste is very light, easy to drink, and plain. Unexciting, but I could see how this would be very drinkable on a hot and humid day.

Can, 4.8%. OK dusty lager aroma, vinous in the finish. Clear yellow colour. Small white head. The flavour is watery at first, turning a little vinous. Low to medium bitterness. Chalky finish.

2 AROMA 3/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 3/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 9/20
Bottle. Big bottle. Pale gold color with a three finger head. Head holds up well. Laces abundantly. Rather grainy aroma backed by some noble hop. Rather thin bodied with mild, frothy carbonation. Flavor is beer. There’s pale malt. There’s hop. It’s a bit sweet. It’s wholly inoffensive. It’s not crisp; it is clean. I think it’s brewed for the hotter climes. If I was eating food in El Salvador, I would use this like water. I actually think I am enjoying this one. It is so innocuous. There’s not a bad flavor in it. Would I take it to a desert island? No.

1.8 AROMA 4/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 5/20
UPDATED: JUL 26, 2005 Crystal clear, extremely light yellow lager with a large, frothy, white head... gone like a flash of black gun powder. Leaves an eery, weeping, drippy lace. The aroma and flavor are fairly nondescript, but not at all offensive. Lightly sweet. Light-bodied with a fizzy mouthfeel. Short, crisp, clean finish. It’s HOT in El Salvador, right? Maybe I would have enjoyed this pale lager more if it were hot and humid in the house instead of crisp and cool thanks to a late Summer, early morning breeze whisping in through open windows... or not.
