32 oz bottle, thats right a whole quart bitches, purchased at Spirits RB. Pours a clear golden straw color with slight effervescence rising from the center and an average size foamy head that leaves some thick piles of lace on my glass and some large dollops of lasting head. Aroma is dusty overall with some sweet corny notes and cardboard. Flavor is no worse then any other macro lager, corn and metallic notes to form a base of sweetness with a very slight bitter finish. The palate on this one helps out alot and is actually not half bad with a medium body and light, but very much there carboantion, and a creamy finish. If you can get past the flavor this one is drinkable.

UPDATED: NOV 11, 2009 Bottle from CM Beer & Wine. Pours disgustingly pale with a fizzy white head. A faint sweet smell. You know what? It’s not too bad. A little metallic, but for what it is it’s pretty acceptable.

Big 40oz bottle pours a totally clear, yellow with some cloudy white head. Nose is corn, honey, straw. Flavor is watered down straw, honey, yellow corn, yeast, white bread. Watery finish. I’ve had worse swill.

Massively watery. Of the three El Salvador beers I’ve tasted today, this is the lightest, so if you favor flavor, I’d go with the Suprema or Pilsener (all three of these beers are from the same brewery (and it shows)). This beer comes in a huge 48oz bottle so it looks like sort of a wino beer (think Crazy Horse). Heavily carbed.

UPDATED: APR 19, 2004 (32oz bottle) Big bottle for a big occasion - I am now a common-law uncle! Wow, the sense of commitment now strikes me. Pours a huge, frothy, white head and a clear gold body. Nose of grassy pastures, stagnant insoles. Easy drink'n. Slightly hoppy flavour. Watery to the finish. Enough to keep to straight on the road. Responsibility!

Big industrial janitorial strength cleaner looking bottle - at least it’s brown! The pour is translucent with a thin, soapy white head. Aroma is not skunky, not much there at all, a faint trace of wet paper bagness. Flavor is pretty much nonexistent as well, goes down very smooth on this hot October day working in the yard actually - for that I am grateful. Finish is just a bit metallic, but overall, a notch above the other offerings from this South American behemoth.

Generously shared by TheBeerCellar2: Pours a very pale white wine color with a thin ring of white head. Mild corn and grape aroma. Fizzy, watery body has a very mild sweetness and a thin, semi-dry finish. No off-flavors, but hardly anything here to taste. I guess this is one more country I have tried.

Bottle. Big bottle. Pale gold color with a three finger head. Head holds up well. Laces abundantly. Rather grainy aroma backed by some noble hop. Rather thin bodied with mild, frothy carbonation. Flavor is beer. There’s pale malt. There’s hop. It’s a bit sweet. It’s wholly inoffensive. It’s not crisp; it is clean. I think it’s brewed for the hotter climes. If I was eating food in El Salvador, I would use this like water. I actually think I am enjoying this one. It is so innocuous. There’s not a bad flavor in it. Would I take it to a desert island? No.

Well then...by the looks of the bottle, this is going to be just wonderful... Ah. Dumping out the contents of my 946ml bottle gave way to a clear pale yellow gold brew with some white head that survives as a skim but leaves a small ammount of spotty lacing. The smell isn’t that bad with it mostly being grassy, a bit malty and maybe maybe some chemicals (not convinced). The taste is pretty plain and totally inoffensive - watery, grassy and a touch of hops...not a bad mix, really. Thin bodied, light mouthfeel, fairly carbonated and foamy and the only aftertaste is a bit of crummy hops. Could be worse.
