Bottle looks simple but okay. Beer in the glass dark brown, nice head. Starts mild but not washy, fine malty, light nutty-earthy notes. Well balanced finish. Nice!

Bottle 50cl. Clear deep amber color, one finger frothy off-white head, recedes after a while to a thin layer, a bit lacing; aroma roasty malts, bread, caramel; taste moderate sweet, slightly bitter, roasty; medium body, light oily texture, soft carbonation; more bitterness in smooth finish, still roasty. As a whole a bit thin, but OK.

Fresh bottle at the brewery in Lohndorf. Light cola brown, clear. Simple cookie and cracker cara malt with a suggestion of diacetyl in the nose (nothing noticed on the palate). Basic malt extract twang with a simple syrupiness. Medium body, watery, medium sweetness, low bitterness. Bland and boring beer I’m sad to say. The texture is decent but the malt is very dull.

Dunkelbraun mit ordentlicher Schaumbildung. Brotig-getreidiges Aroma. Im Geschmack dünn nach leicht geröstetem Malz, dazu auch minimal säuerlich wie bei Gärungskohlensäure. Hopfen wird schmerzlich vermisst. Reißt mich nicht vom Hocker.

Bottle. Head is initially average sized, frothy, off-white, mostly diminishing. Body is light to medium amber. Aroma is lightly malty (cookie, toasted grain), lightly to moderately hoppy (flowers, herbs, orange). Flavor is moderately sweet, lightly acidic, lightly bitter. Finish is lightly sweet, lightly acidic, lightly to moderately bitter. Light to medium body, watery texture, lively carbonation, lightly alcoholic. Hoppier nose than expected, but not much malt to match. Kinda thin and a touch bland, but overall ok...no icky notes.

Bottle sample at a tasting at Ariel’s place. Thanks beerandbeyond. Pours rusty and tan clear with a small head, aroma of caramel, vanilla and cookies, flavor of bread, rye, caramel and carob, light bodied

Bottle sample at a tasting at Ariel’s place. Thanks beerandbeyond. Clear rustic colour with white foam wave. Sweet, ripe fruit and dried figs aroma, bland metallic bitterness. Light body, slightly rotten finish. weird, old.
