3.7 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20 3fourths (7063) - Boulder, Colorado, USA - JUN 13, 2013
Draft at Fränkisches Bierfest in Nürnberg.
Brilliantly clear gold and effervescent body. Tall white head. Strong herbal/ lemon splat hop nose. Soft malt, quenching acid, clean of flaws. Fruity, floral, lemon oil finish. Wonderfully balanced and without any perceivable problems. Only suffers from it’s one-dimensionality.
3.6 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 15/20 Ernest (5646) - Boulder, Colorado, USA - MAY 9, 2013
Bottle.
Head is initially small, frothy, white, mostly diminishing.
Body is clear light yellow.
Aroma is lightly to moderately malty (toasted bread), lightly to moderately hoppy (herbs, flowers), with light notes of minerals and honey.
Flavor is lightly to moderately sweet, lightly bitter.
Finish is lightly sweet, moderately bitter.
Light to medium body, watery/velvety texture, lively carbonation.
Quite delightful...clean, balanced, very quaffable. Doesn’t look like much, and the mouthfeel is kinda light, but when you’re weeding through a bunch of diacetyl-ridden or husky examples, it’s a real treasure to find a brewer that can at least make a good, clean beer.
3 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20 Shaney (1808) - Köln / Cologne, GERMANY - MAY 7, 2013
Das helle Landbier hat 4,9% und keine 4,6% Alkohol.
Mittelgelb mit feiner Schaumkrone. Stroh und Heu im Aroma. Leichter Antrunk. Minimal honigtönern und getreidig, klingt verhalten hopfig aus. Guter Durchschnitt.
2.9 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 11/20 bartlebier (523) - Baden-Württemberg, GERMANY - JAN 20, 2013
50cl bottle - as far as I remember, enjoyable with a regular weekday meal, with subdued aromas and typical uneventual Landbier tastes; dominant mid-toned malts, fresh hops did not redeem overall blandness.

Average beer. Poured golden with a white head. A decent beer, but not so refreshing or anything special.
