3.2 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20
Vom fass at the brewery in Hochstahl.
Clear chestnut brown with a fine, long-lasting head.
Low carbonation, silky and creamy malt.
Coffee cake, nuts, minerals, cola flavoring, caramelized sugars.
Low bitterness, medium sweetness, DME syrupiness.
Lacks depth but it is certainly drinkable.

3 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 12/20
Head is initially average sized, frothy, light brown, mostly lasting.
Body is medium brown.
Aroma is lightly to moderately malty (caramel, nuts), lightly hoppy (herbs).
Flavor is moderately sweet, lightly bitter.
Finish is lightly to moderately sweet, lightly to moderately bitter.
Light to medium body, watery texture, lively carbonation.
Surprisingly little character compared to their Zwickl and Lager. Not much in the nose and the body is light and watery. A bit on the sweet side, kind of limp and sugary in the mouth. Dang.
