3.8 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20 Ernest (5605) - Boulder, Colorado, USA - MAY 16, 2013
Bottle.
Head is initially average sized, frothy, white, mostly lasting.
Body is light yellow.
Aroma is moderately malty (toasted bread, pastry), lightly to moderately hoppy (herbs, flowers), with a hint of egg.
Flavor is moderately sweet, lightly bitter.
Finish is lightly sweet, moderately bitter.
Medium body, watery/velvety texture, lively carbonation.
Straightforward but very nicely done...clean, toasty, pastry-ish, bright hops, excellent balance, nice texture. Good stuff.

Thank you Norbert Dubowy, for bringing this back from your most recent trip to Germany. Clear medium amber with a large bubbled persistent head and tiny dots of lace. Taste is mild caramel malt that moves politely through the palate to a slightly bitter finish. Beyond that, the malt returns. This is a simple, but interesting drink, possibly created as a good mild sessionable lager. Not big at all, but quite reasonable

2.1 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 8/20 EithCubes (4193) - New Jersey, USA - SEP 5, 2012
Bottle by 24.11.12. Cellary malt with a dash of citrus and hops above the low-lying caramel. Deep but pale amber-copper body with no head -- sucker vanishes entirely. Very sweet taste, low bitterness with straw/hay and even a lasting wisp of smoke into the aftertaste, some tang and swipes of alcohol and metal. Light-medium body. Tough to finish.

It’s bronze-golden with a white head and the aroma has notes of malt, caramel, straw and hay. The flavor has a light sweetness and notes of malt, caramel and straw, and the finish is dry.

Sorry for the german rating, but this is a lousy rating from my "newbie" time (2007-2009), and it’s not worth of being translated. I just added it for the statistics, and to complete my backlog!
3 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20 Kristall-König (1841) - Oldenburg, GERMANY - AUG 12, 2011
Trinkbares Helles.
