Quack-Duck (1908), Bodensee, Germany Sep 27, 2008 bottle. Clear bronze-yellow colour, large head. Malty nose. Medium-bodied, pleasantly malty with some good aromatic hops in the background. Pleasant carbonation. Eirikur (284), Alftanes, Iceland Dec 7, 2007 This brew is a surprise.
Good head and nice dark golden appearence.
Smooth but crispy flavour with a very nice smoothy damping palate.
Very nice aftertaste wich consists of this smooth calming dark lager feel. fonefan (4884), Ulfborg, Denmark Dec 2, 2007 Bottle. Clear light to medium amber color with a average, frothy, good lacing, mostly lasting, off-white head. Aroma is moderate malty, roasted, light caramel, light yeasty, light butter. Flavor is moderate sweet and light light bitter with a average duration. Body is medium, texture is watery, carbonation is soft. (021107) downender (1618), Bristol, Gloucestershire, England Jul 28, 2007 Updated: Nov 17, 2007Bottle from Der Treffpunkt, Nurnberg HBF. Deep gold colour with a white head. Sweet aroma that was more butter than caramel. Flavour was buttery too before a hoppy finish. Very drinkable. 3.2.
Second bottle tried 3/11/07. This wasn’t as good as the sweetness was replaced by a strange baked bean-like aroma. Possibly a bad bottle? 2.8
