33 cl bottle from Bieropholie, served at cellar temperature in a tulip glass. BB 22/12/10.

App.: Clear copper with a fair tan head. Aroma: Lots of bright fruits, nice brown sugar and some light molasses, dark dried fruits, a little vinous, a little boozy, some light orange peel. Palate: Medium+ body, fairly soft effervescence. Flav.: Less than the nose, some dark dried fruits, more booze, a touch of wood and orange peel, some brown sugar/molasses; somewhat sweet with enough balancing bitterness and a light malty/boozy finish.

Fair.

Boutip (4637) - Gatineau, Quebec, CANADA - NOV 5, 2009
Bottle: Poured a hazy dirty brown color ale with a medium size foamy head with great retention and good lacing. Aroma of spicy yeast and medium sweet Belgian malt with unrefined grain ester. Taste is a weird mix between some sweet malt and unrefined stale grain notes with a spicy and as well bready yeast completing the mix. Body is quite full with good carbonation and no signs of alcohol. Not bad though mix of flavor is somewhat strange and not completely balanced.

Bottle. Dark brown beer with a strong head. The aroma is deeply spiced, and the flavour is spiced, yeasty and gently bitter. Overall a nice beer.

Danger! This one might knock you out. What a flavor. Mostly wheatbread (brown bread) with a dry finish. Has a bitter and sourfruit flavor. Nice. (after 30 mins). Taste is getting flatter and not special anymore.

Flaske: Kæmpe gusher. Ellers en flot rødbrun øl med et fint skum. Duft af frugt og sukker. Behagelig mundfylde, og god smag der næsten dækker alkoholen. Udmærket øl men meget klassisk og en smule kedelig.

Bottle 33 cl. Pours a warm reddish brown with a big white head and an aroma of citrus, fresh fruit, caramel and fresh hops. The taste is a bit syruppy and sweet with hints of citrus, berries, hops, hot spices and salmiak. A bitter and peppery finish. Very nice beer!

Bottle at Babbel & co, Lier. Hazy copper-brown with a solid tan head. Fruity, slightly tart aroma. Hints of sour fruit, well contained by caramel and decent hop bitterness. Exceeds expectations.
