3.8 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
09.01.13. Bottle. White foam. A bit cloudy straw/gold beer (should be clear if poured correctly). Aroma is nice. Taste is bitterish, a bit sweet, some dry, warming alcohol. Overall it’s OK, but there are certainly better Belgian triple’s than this.

3.6 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 14/20
330mL bottle from International Beer Collector. BB 15/01/17
Pours HUGE white head, eventually settles as a dense creamy atop a slightly hazy blonde body.
Aroma dominated by spicy yeast notes - pepper, clove, bit of dough - with light toasty malts, and white sugar notes.
Lots of weight on the body, creamy, alcohol dries things out a fair bit, lingering warmth.
Big hit of white sugary sweetness upfront, cereal malts come through, some dough & spicy yeast notes, subtle ripe fruits accompanied by a moderate sort of bitterness & dry lingering boozy embrace.
Pretty decent tripel, flavours are there, lacking the complexity and finesse of a great tripel though.

3.8 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
Clear golden amber pour with nice big frothy white head. Classic tripel aromas of funky belgian yeast, honey, grains. The taste reflects the aromas but balances the sweetness and bitterness very well. Medium bodied, smooth but also a light acidity on the tongue. Very good tripel.

3.8 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
Bottle from de Bierschuur in Poppel. The beer has a blonde color and a rich white head, also the carbonation is well. The aroma is fruity and malty, with tones of lemon, yeast, flowers and some spices (I think cloves). The taste is light sweet to change into a nice freshness with a light bitter. Moderate body and well balanced, with the tones from the hops. The finish is light bitter and refreshing. Very well done this tripel. One of the better ones.
