Andrew196 (1089), Anaheim Hills, California, USA Nov 30, 2006 I am not the most well versed in the style, but I feel like this is how it should be. What is it about this style that makes everyone think of a hot Summer’s day? I don’t get it. I got lots of vegetable throughout this beast.....celery, mild earthiness and some berries. It tied in well to a refreshing hop finish. Not bad folks.
drjay44 (165), Colorado, USA Oct 8, 2008 500 ml. bottle...pours a tightly bubbled creamy head, good retention, no lacing, clear yellow color....mild malt aroma with bit of hop....taste is clean and crisp with mild hop finish. Mouth feel is light. It is good to the style, but I think I don’t much care for the style. Theis (2212), Frederiksberg, Denmark Sep 30, 2008 Bottle at Plan B. Clear yellow - white head. White bread, fruity, peppery, sulfor, egg, straw, hay, smooth. Clean and perfect !!! wxman (459), O’Fallon, Illinois, USA Sep 28, 2008 On draft. Poured a dark golden with very little head which disippated completely. aroma of sweet malt. clean refreshing sweet malt taste. Very good, just not appealing in apprearance. waolsen (1021), Littleton, Colorado, USA Sep 27, 2008 tap. golden pour with forthy head. sweet corn, grain aroma. sweet light fruit and corn. mild peppery bittrness. Wulfstan (481), California, USA Sep 22, 2008 This is an outstanding, flavourful, highly drinkable kolsch. It is deep golden with a medium white head steadily shrinking to a permanent thin top and a hint of lace. The aroma si full-bodied grain, hay, honey, apple peels, some fruit, especially grapes, bread, a hint of banana. The taste is crisp, clean, a little dry but full, lively, and interesting. It has bread, lemon, hay, apple, honey. It’s nice with a light tartness..
