50cl brown bottle: A truly great and flavourful beer. Lemons, fresh yeast dough and wet grass in the aroma. Clean and refreshing flavour, grainy and bready with a prominent herbal/hemp-like hoppiness. Lean body without being watery. Highly recommended.

[3506-20101204] Tap. Generic yeast floral grains aroma. Clear, yellow brown body with a medium-lasting foamy white head. Yeasty grains flavour is generic throughout with that odd floral touch. Light body. Kind of boring.

2010-12-04. Crisp yellow body with a tiny white head. Flavour is very cereally pale malts, sweetish with light florals in the finish. 5+ Aroma is mild with light cereal grains with floral accents. Average plus bodied palate. Mild, not much going on. Too floral for my tastes. On tap at Blue Monk, Buffalo

Amazing flavor and crisp. Some fruit tones on the nose. Light head with minimal lacing. Less hoppy than a pilsner. My first Kolsch. Very crisp and refreshing and went down easy with a Brick Burger! Had the pleasure of my first tasting of this beer on tap at the Brick Store in Decatur, GA.

On tap at Das Bier Haus, Burlington.
Appearance : Clear pale yellow with a small foamy white head.
Aroma : Lots of grain with some malt. Light fruity notes. Light herbal hops. A bit citrusy. Notes of hay.
Taste : Malty and hay with light citrusy hops. Finish malty with light citrusy hops. Was a bit metallic at first but it cleared up after some time.
Overall : got better as I drank it. Nice soft carbonation. Very decent beer. Not as good as the best ones I’ve had in Koln. Not sure if this one is that much better in Koln...

A: The pour is a clear straw color with a thin white head. S: Smells like sweet malt and grain with some white grape juice, in terms of the sweetness, with just a bit of bready malt flavor. The hops are floral in nature with perhaps just a touch of earthiness. T: A good clean grain and bread flavor with some mild sweetness. There’s a fair amount of floral and earthy hops with just a bit of grass and a moderate bitterness. M: The body is light to medium with a medium to high level of carbonation. D: Really light and easy to drink, like you would expect from a kolsch. No complaints here.

Tart wheat aroma on this yellow beer. Flavor is tart, tangy, refreshing with a little spice. Smooth finish and a nice example of the German summer beer.
