3.2 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20 PintPiner (10) - Maple Grove, Minnesota, USA - DEC 11, 2010
Clean malty aromoa plus a touch of fruit. Finger-width cream white head. Very pale with lots of bubbles. Moderate to high carbonation. Very light, dry mouthfeel. Crisp fresh malt, very slightly bready, soft bitterish finish. Clean, refreshing, well balanced ale.
2.8 AROMA 4/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 11/20 AirForceHops (991) - Epping, New Hampshire, USA - DEC 9, 2010
Got bottle in a trade. Pours a clear straw yellow with a decent fluffy white head - average, but not off-putting. Aroma is average strength, malty and just a tad watery. However, the aroma is this beer’s weakest aspect. Flavor is crisp and malty with a fruity overtone. Texture is smooth, lively and fizzy. Has a refreshing quality. Should drink in warm weather, not on a cold New England winter night.
2.6 AROMA 4/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 10/20 kjc51478 (277) - Cologne, GERMANY - DEC 1, 2010
0.5l Bottle. Pours a light golden yellow with a small to medium fizzy head. Aroma is mostly malts with some definite toasted grains and a little bit of unpleasant skunkiness as well. Taste is light-bodied, a tad watery with the sweet bready maltiness and grassy hops as the predominant flavors. Finishing is wheaty with a slight sugary taste. Not my favorite Kölsch but certainly a good representative of the style.
3.3 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 13/20 Acetobacter (816) - Pennsylvania, USA - NOV 28, 2010
Enjoyed on tap in a pub glass. The beer pours a brilliant fairly pale yellow, with a dense white head. The nose initially shows a bit of oxidation, before revealing grainy pilsner malt. The palate is fairly balanced, but tends to show continental base malt sweetness over truly evident hop character. The beer finishes lightly grainy, but is other wise crisp. Overall, a simple, if nicely made version that would almost surely drink better if sampled closer to its source.
2.7 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 9/20 KajII (344) - Macon, North Carolina, USA - NOV 28, 2010
Bottle. Poured a light clear yellow with a large white frothy head that was mostly lasting and had excellent lacing. The aroma was light of grain malts, herbal hops and a leathery yeast with notes of citrus. It tasted very light and slightly bitter form beginning to end with the finish being rather light in flavor with a hint of lemon. Mouthfeel was light in body and watery in texture with a soft carbonation. Overall a very mild brew with not much taste.
2.3 AROMA 4/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 8/20 FROTHINGSLOSH (3205) - GREENSBURG, Pennsylvania, USA - NOV 18, 2010
Sampled on draft at the Rivertowne Pub this beer poured a medium golden color with a huge fluffy white head that lingered and produced some lacing. The aroma was tangy, sweetish and had touches of grape and lemon. The flavor was tangy and a bit tar and bitter with a light yeast and grape undertone. The finish was medium length tangy, sweetish and had vague fruit. Medium body. Eh.

On tap in Germany. Clear golden color with a foamy white head. Grainy, almost wheaty aroma with hints of lemon. Some earthy grain flavors with hints of lemon and grassy. Crisp, dry and bitter finish.

Draft at TAP. Clear gold pour w/ white head. Bready aroma w/ touch of graininess. Fruit-cakey bready malt flavor with a yeasty and crisp, balanced finish. Medium-light body. Overall, drinkable and surprising neutral, balanced, and delicate without being watery.
