tmoreau (1269) - Lombard, Illinois, USA - JAN 6, 2012
On tap at the Bavarian Lodge in Lisle, IL., and dispensed to a logoed stange with a bright, clear, golden color, frothy white head foam, and lasting, curtainy cling to the lacing. The aroma was wet grain, and a typical but distinctive lager nose of Pils malt & noble hop. The flavor was soft but crisp, with a touch of sweetness, prickly effervescence on the tongue, light to medium body, low but integral hop bitterness, and a pleasantly dry finish. Time tested, very sessionable, and paired well with anything on the menu.

Pours clear gold, 2 fingers of frothy white head. Aroma of Hay, Noble Hops - very crisp. Refreshing, Noble Hops, grassy, hay, slightly bready. Good amount of carbonation. Very easy drinking - goes great with German Cuisine.

Pours a pale gold color, crystal clear and moderate head. Bready smell with slight hop notes. This brew has a light crisp taste that is very dry all the way through. Sweet malts dominate flavor with dry floral hops rounding out the end. This is a decent kolsch, but I’ve had better.

UPDATED: DEC 24, 2011 On tap at Coleman, muller hullerteau bomb with very nice plis malts. One trick pony but this is very drinkable.

Golden coloured beer, head is ok, but could hold some longer for sure. Smell and taste of malts and yeast, not totally my thing. The dry biterness in the end bites a bit with the alcohol.

Slightly bitter, grassy aroma. Flavor starts out a little on the sweet side, with some bitterness in the finish. Pretty ordinary, but also pretty good.

Bottle @ Clockwork Beer Co. Sour grassy vegetable aroma. Pale golden yellow colour, good head. Dry sweet grassy perfumey flavour. Quite sharp. Not my sort of beer.
