3.7 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
Bottle from Arden Wines. Brilliant gold with an undulating white collar. Aroma of salted popcorn, biscuit, chamois leather, monkey nut and delicate sappy hop. Good oily sweet malt mingled with soft sherbet, vanilla, shrub and honey, thistle-like subtle hop, sesame. A few specks of bicarb as it warms but I’m nitpicking; this is a beer meant to be necked chilled from endless 200ml test tubes, not 500ml bottles.
Top kolsch, dare I say lager.

3.5 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
Tasted from bottle into slim Kölsch glass. It tasted identical on tap at Flying Saucer too. It poured a clear straw colour with delicate white head, somewhat lasting with lace. Crisp, husky grains, faintly peppery hops and subtly fruity ale yeast esters. Mild, almost lager-like flavours, more well-rounded personality than a Pilsener. Light body and mouthfeel, moderate carbonation, perfect bittersweet balance, digestive, dry finish. Tasty and refreshing.

I had this at Flying Saucer. Pours a clear gold with white head. Easy drinking, but nothing special. I thought it was good. I would drink this again.

50cl bottle in Berlin. Pours pale golden with a white head. Mild fruity and malty aroma with hints of hops and vegetables. Medium sweet with mild fruity and malty flavours and a very light bitterness in the finish. Refreshing, but weak in flavour and slightly boring.

Very light and easy drinking. Nice crisp, dry finish. definitely one of the best pale-colored, light-bodied beers out there.
