Draught. Gold colored with a light fruity apple and floral aroma. Light, mildly sweet straw/cereal flavors with underlying crisp fruit notes and grassy hop finish. Just a Kolsch in the long run, but refreshing and quaffable on a warm night, especially out of its narrow shell-casing glass.

Yeah, this is about as solid a kolsch as you could hope for. As the days get hot, a nice crisp fizzer like this is just the ticket. Warm tasting with just the right trace of crispness, like that nice straw taste rendered buttery somehow. This style isn’t something I think to have very often, but when in the mood this one will do just fine.

Bottle poured a clear yellow with a small lasting white head. Aromas of straw, some graininess and hints of citrus and earthiness. Palate was light bodied and crisp. Flavors of graininess, light straw ands hints of citrus and earthiness with a crisp slightly dry bitter finish.

UPDATED: MAY 20, 2007 On tap, a good afternoon beer, good mix of a pilsner style with wheat, clear yellow pour with white foamly diminishing head lively carbonation, watery texture, light body, not as bitter or metallic as a pilsner, very drinkable, not all that complex though. Could put down several.

Had on tap at Brews in Granville. Poured a nice gold yellow color, very little head. Crisp, clean and very refreshing. Very light in the mouth. Slight taste of citrus, malts and just a bit of hop. Very drinkable.

Bottled. Pale golden colour with small white head. Aroma is sweet malts and rather sweet hops. Flavour is malts, saltwater and hops. Quite wellbalanced and good nicely done Kölsch.
