It’s a great example of a real Kolsch. Imported by B United, they’ve done a good job of getting it out including on draft. Easy to drink, nich hops, fruity.

One of the better Kolsch’s that I’ve had. Typical middle of the tongue sweetness, but these malts are thicker. some fruity-ness - light apple flavor? Nice hop presence and a clean finish. I bet this would be even better on tap.

Citrus and hops are leading in aroma and flavor. Golden body with a medium diminishing head. Sprisingly no bitter aftertaste. Full Palate but flat carbonation. Well balanced Kölsch.

2.3 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 3/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 8/20
Very pale golden. Aroma is very grassy and herbal. Light body. But its downhill from there. This beer tasted like it was made from rusty water, which really brings the numbers down for me. I may get up enough courage to buy another and re-rate because I see most other reviewers liked it alot better than I did.

Golden with a hint of fruit. Goes down smooth and has great head retention.

Pale straw color, nice nose, as with a Kolsch, there just isnt much there to please me persoanl, better than an American Lager, but nothing will make me ask for this again..unless... I’m in Cologne.

3.1 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20
Pale yellow, transluscent, mild carbonation, minimal foam. Aroma is perfumey, yeasty and hoppy. Light fruity sweetness (maybe blackcurrant but very mild). Dry hoppy finish and a little peppery spice, but pretty clean and quiet in the atertaste. Decent aperitif, and a subtle complexity that grows with each sip.

UPDATED: AUG 29, 2006 Neat. But re-tasting few times again in 2006 did not gave my such exelent feel as it was the case in past.
In Koln they say that it is the best Kolsch around and I have to agree . Great quality , strong head , great look and clean mouth feel . To bad we can’t buy here in Canada .4.1

Now we’re talking, very nicely malty and hoppy (quite a floral hop nose), smooth and lightly hop bitter. Well balanced brew, one of the better kolsch beers i’ve tried.

A very clean beer... very balanced, good malt flavor (could tell it was a decoction mash)
