There is really not too much to this one. Not bad or really good, just clean and clear and very easy to drink. Goes down nice and fast and creamy and then it is gone before you even realize it. Another good beer for food, or for a session as a palate cleanser.

Smooth with a somewhat sweetish taste, clear yellow color. Nothing jumps out, just an easy drinkin' refreshing brew.

Light, golden, sparkling, white head. Smooth, malty, notes of caramel and bitter nose. Full, smooth, bit carbonated, notes of caramel, flowery flavours. A bit dry, sweet and pretty long finish. Great kölsch!

Never had this style but it seems just like any german lager to me. Does have a sight hop presence in the aroma but only slightly bitter tasting. Kind of bland for an ale in my opinion. Fresh tasting none the less and a good thirst quencher that went well with a German style lunch.

There was nothing all that special that stood out with this beer.It was just an easy drinking beer with no outstanding characteristics to rave about. It was just another beer.It poured a small sized white head with fine-medium sized bubbles that quickly dissipated. The body was clear with slowly rising carbonation with a straw yellow hue.The nose was malty and hoppy and some fruit notes? The flavor a little bit acidic with some hops notes. It had a thin, watery texture to it and it was also smooth and light bodied. There was virtually no lacing.

Rather un-carbonated with little head. I wonder if the previous commenter had an off-batch. I'm not a connoisseur of the Kolsch style, but this was pretty good to me. Light, refreshing, yet complex.

This brew poured a large head of fine to large sized white mostly lasting bubbles that left behind afair lacing and a softly carbonated transparent yellow orange colored body. It had a mild malt hop aroma and a thin crisp bubbly mouthfeel. The flavor was a nice smooth mild malt hop mix. There was nothing remarkable about this brew, just all around OK.

UPDATED: DEC 30, 2003 Full malty nose with hints of tart fruitiness. Clear golden straw color with large rocky white head. Flavor is malty throughout with apple-like tartness appearing near end of swallow. Very refreshing. The malty aspect gave great satisfaction for a mostly uncomplicated beer. Lite hop bite near middle round out this excellent Kolsch. BBQ anyone?

Maybe my palette isn't developed enough to enjoy this, I don't know. It was like drinking Stroh's out of a can, more or less. The taste didn't linger, though.

Before the Jager laid waste to my palate, I continued my Steinkeller tapping with this decent kolsch. Light and fruity, straw-colored, and refreshing. I agree that there was a hint of metal in the flavor. Decent enough.
