Reissdorf Kolsch is a great example of a Kolsch. The flavor is perfect and is matched by the color. The beer was poured from a bottle into a pint glass. Can’t go wrong with this beer.

Bottle. Pale gold with a white head. Aroma is grainy and grassy with a little peach and some herbs. Sweet and grainy, slightly buttery. Modest bitterness but dry enough at the end. Herbal and a bit lemony there too. I remember liking this more, but it’s pretty good.

Bottle traded with Deanso. Poured a crystal clear straw colour with a frothy white head. The aroma is yeast, soapy skunky malt. The flavour is light bitter with a light hop bitter palate. Light bodied with average carbonation. Pretty awful.

Helder lichtgeel bier met schuim. Smaak is hoppig bitter en krachtig, hooi en gras achtig. Blijft redelijk lang hangen, uitstekend bier.

Tap at some Italian place (!!) in Tempe AZ.

Light pour, while head, served in the proper branded glassware. Nice. Man, the lack of love on this site makes me sad. A good kolsch is a delgiht and it’s a tragedy (for them, not me) that the vanilla-bean-bourbon-cinnamon-weasel-shit-frappaci crowd doesn’t see this. But whatever. Crisp, slightly lemony, a very nice if subtle hop bite, grass, delicate but delicious. Great beer. I didn’t expect it to have held up well across the ocean and sitting around at some restaurant, but for whatever reason, it was in good shape. Wow -- an unexpected treat.

Slightly sweet as far as a kölsch goes. Smells and tastes a bit of cereal or corn. Pretty drinkable.
