Bottle. Poured a light clear yellow with a large white frothy head that was mostly lasting and had excellent lacing. The aroma was light of grain malts, herbal hops and a leathery yeast with notes of citrus. It tasted very light and slightly bitter form beginning to end with the finish being rather light in flavor with a hint of lemon. Mouthfeel was light in body and watery in texture with a soft carbonation. Overall a very mild brew with not much taste.

Slightly sweet as far as a kölsch goes. Smells and tastes a bit of cereal or corn. Pretty drinkable.

Bottle (500 ml). Clear pale yellow with a medium white head and little lacing. Aroma is of fresh cereals, light herbal notes, hints of citrus/lemon and floral notes. Taste is slightly sweet with light cereals notes, light fruitiness, floral notes and herbal notes. Light body. Medium carbonation. Mild finish with a light lingering sweetness. Good Kölsch. Super drinkable. I would have been curious to try it from cask.

Crystal clear straw gold, smallish head of foam but dang, it won’t go away entirely. Corny, hoppy in a Noble Pils kind of way. Smells like what a desert would smell like if it was a beer. Lovely grainy corn applied to this Koelsch. The hops have a nice dry and bitter bite to it. Funny that I look at corn as a negative in the macro lagers but here, it works fine. Light bodied, medium carbonation. A classic for a reason, me thinks.

On tap at Reissdorf. Clear yellow with white head. Aroma is cereal and some farm notes. Taste is clean cereal with moderate bitterness and light tartness. Palate is dry but not as much as Päffgen. Drinks very well.

A light sweet aroma comes from a clear light amber pour which provides no head or lacing. The taste follows the nose - a pleasing faint sweetness makes this Kölsch easy to drink and very enjoyable. Medium-light body moderate carbonation? Overall, quite pleasant and rewarding.

Clear golden beer with a white head. Skunky/funky aromas aren’t that great. Tastes of some muted corn mash, flowery hops, and some malt. Bittersweet finish. Decent for the style and very drinkable.

Classic Kölsch with regular, quickly decreasing head and pale golden blonde colour. Subtle aroma, light malt sweetness, apple, grass, floral hops. Light but clean and crisp malty taste, spicy notes (mint) with a dry, medium bitter finish; thin mouthfeel.
